Acorn Insurance have been partnered with Bluetown for a couple of years already however with aggressive growth and acquisition plans for the coming year they needed someone who could scale with them and provide the volume of traffic needed to reach their growth targets. The key difficulty here was that their growth wasn’t just focused to one department but across the business as a whole, from Backend Developers to Claims Handlers and everything in between.

The key factor for the kind of team growth Acorn needed was candidate mobility and the best way to achieve that is widespread visibility, this is where our Attract solution comes into play. With unrivalled coverage we were able to list all of Acorn’s vacancies on all of the major platforms in the UK, as well as utilising our portfolio of industry specific job boards and publications to further attract candidates with specific backgrounds in the right industry.
While a constant flow of applications is exactly what Acorn needed there is also the administrative side of managing the thousands of applicants effectively and efficiently ensuring the team is able to progress suitable applicants before someone else snaps them up and for this they used our bespoke ATS Connect which allows them to both personalise and automate parts of the process or provide access to hiring managers to review applicants and conduct interviews for just their own roles.
Conclusion
Ultimately Acorn were able to exceed their targeted growth and ended up hiring in excess of 800 new team members over the 12 month period and continue to partner with us going forward so they can proceed with their growth plans going forward.
