Challenge
Initially Healthvision were using our advertising product, Attract, and having applications sent to a mailbox however with thousands of applications received per month they needed a more effective way to manage all of those applicants to avoid missing out on the top candidates who were getting snapped up by their competition.
Solution
Fortunately shortly before this point we had launched a brand new Applicant Tracking System (ATS), that linked directly to the job boards we use and allowed for all candidates to filter into one single system, linked to the specific role they had applied for. This made it easy for each of the hiring managers to log into the system, find their candidates and then view and sort their candidates with ease. The candidate management feature of the system alone significantly reduced the burden on the team however after a couple of training sessions we were able to help them utilise additional features, such as screening questions and email templates to automate aspects of the process and further streamline their hiring process.
Using the built in statistics they were able to monitor key metrics specifically around time to hire and time spent at certain stages of the process in order to track their bottle necks and see in real time the improvements take effect.
Conclusion
When moving over to the ATS they saw an immediate improvement in the organisation and efficiency of their process but after a few months of using it and continuing to refine the process they estimate they save an average of 70 hours per month and have seen an increase in candidate engagement due to quicker responses.
