Over time University of Manchester had become reliant on exclusively recruitment agencies to fill all of their vacancies and as such had seen a huge increase in the spend on Agency fills within the last year so they began looking for a partner who could help them overcome that reliance.
Solution
Based on a recommendation by a member of the team who had used our service with a previous employer, the team at University of Manchester reached out to our Partnerships Manager to see what we could offer and how we could make that fit with their current requirements.
As such a prestigious university the fact that they had no job board presence was a huge missed opportunity so our fully branded adverts on all the major platforms immediately filled that gap and really helped establish them as one of the most significant employers in the Manchester area. This combined with our prior experience in ensuring completed application forms within the HE sector led to a huge flurry of applications and a number of roles filled immediately that didn’t require agency involvement.
Conclusion
Our relationship with University of Manchester is still in its early stages while they trial this new method of recruitment however in the first 2 months they have made a saving of over £90k and are on track to increase this saving well into the high £100,000s before the end of their initial trial.
