**Job Title:** Evening Shift Packing Operative

**Location:** Fulbourn, Cambridge, CB21 5ET

**Salary:**Circa £16.50 per hour + shift allowance

**Job Type:** Full time, Permanent

**Working Hours:** 5pm- 2am, Mon-Fri

S&B Herba Foods Ltd sources and imports rice, grains, and other raw materials from around the world, producing a wide range of ingredients to the specification of UK manufacturers and wholesalers.

**About the Role:**

We are seeking a confident and reliable Packing Operative / Packing Machine Operator to join our evening shift team at our Rice Mill in Fulbourn.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with packing line experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced production environment and takes pride in maintaining high standards of food safety, quality, and efficiency.

**Key Responsibilities**

- Work as part of a six-person evening shift packing team operating packing lines
- Monitor packing equipment and carry out basic fault finding and minor repairs
- Complete production records and quality control documentation accurately
- Maintain food safety, hygiene, and health & safety standards at all times
- Support general production activities to ensure the site operates efficiently and compliantly
- Undertake additional duties as required to support the business

**About you:**

Essential

- Experience working on packing or production lines
- Basic IT and computer skills
- Good attention to detail and record-keeping abilities
- Commitment to food safety, hygiene, and health & safety standards
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team

Desirable

- Experience within the food manufacturing industry
- Counterbalance Forklift Truck (FLT) licence
- Food Safety & Hygiene Level 2 qualification
