Job Summary:
We are a well-established, family-run dental practice in Crystal Palace looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Dental Nurse Assistant to join our friendly team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about developing a career in dental nursing and wants to gain valuable experience in a professional, supportive setting.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist dentists with a range of clinical procedures, ensuring patient care and comfort at all times
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilise instruments in accordance with infection control protocols
- Maintain accurate patient records and assist with scheduling appointments
- Support with general administrative duties within the practice
- Provide patients with information relating to their treatment, aftercare, and follow-up appointments
Person Specification:
Essential:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Friendly and professional manner
- Willingness to learn and work as part of a team
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail
- Letter of enrolment on an NEBDN-approved dental nursing course, or intention to enrol shortly
- Eligibility to work in the UK
- Proof of vaccination
Desirable:
- Previous experience in a dental setting (not essential – full training provided)
Operating Hours: (rotas to be discussed)
- Monday to Thursday: 08:00 – 18:00
- Friday: 08:00 – 17:00
- Saturday: 08:00 – 17:00
