Job Title: Trainee Dental Nurse – Part-Time Opportunity
Location: Pimlico, London, SW1V 3HD
Salary: £12.21 per hour (negotiable)
Job Type: Permanent – Part-Time.
Rota: 3-4 days per week, including one Saturday per month
Practice hours: Monday – Friday, 9:00am – 5:30pm | Saturdays, 9:00am – 1:00pm
Working hours: 8:30am – 5:30pm with a one-hour lunch break
About the Role:
We are currently seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Trainee Dental Nurse to join our friendly team. This part-time role is ideal for someone who is currently enrolled or planning to enrol in an accredited dental nursing course and is looking to gain valuable hands-on experience in a supportive and professional environment.
As a Trainee Dental Nurse, you will assist our clinicians with a variety of procedures while ensuring high standards of care and cleanliness are maintained throughout the surgery. You’ll be an essential part of creating a calm, efficient, and welcoming atmosphere for all our patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Chairside assistance to dentists during patient treatments
- Cleaning, sterilising, and organising dental instruments and equipment
- Supporting patient care and ensuring their comfort throughout appointments
- Adhering to infection control protocols and maintaining clinical hygiene
- Helping manage patient records using basic IT systems
What We’re Looking For:
- A professional and caring approach with excellent communication skills
- A proactive and positive attitude towards learning
- Basic IT competency for handling clinical notes and scheduling
- Enrolled or planning to enrol on an approved dental nursing course (e.g. NEBDN Diploma)
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work well within a team
- Right to work in the UK
