Are you an experienced Sports Therapist or Physiotherapist with a passion for developing the next generation of professionals in sport and exercise health?
We are seeking a professional and committed individual to join our academic team as a Lecturer in Musculoskeletal and Sports Rehabilitation within our BSc (Hons) Sports Therapy programme – a practice-focused programme which is accredited by the Society of Sports Therapists (SST).
About the Role:
This role is ideal for practitioners with a strong foundation in evidence-based practice and a background in clinical or applied sport settings. You will deliver high-quality, engaging teaching and assessment across key modules in:
- Musculoskeletal assessment and diagnosis
- Sports injury recognition, management, and pathology
- Exercise therapy and rehabilitation strategies
- Evidence-based treatment modalities in sports therapy
You will contribute to a curriculum designed to:
- Develop students’ clinical competencies in the prevention, recognition, evaluation, and management of sports injuries
- Promote evidence-informed treatment modalities used in sports therapy
- Enhance understanding of the scientific foundations of sports therapy, including pathology and physiology
- Cultivate research and analytical skills within applied sports therapy contexts
- Support students in conducting independent research projects
- Broaden access to higher education for learners from diverse educational backgrounds
The role will involve designing innovative learning activities that reflect current clinical practice, working closely with students in both classroom and practical settings, and supporting them in developing their academic and professional identities.
