Job Title: Multi Skilled Maintenance Operative
Location: Gloucester
Salary: £26,000 pa (6-month probation)
Job Type: Full time – Permanent (8.30am – 4.30pm with half hour lunch break)
Job Purpose:
At Barnsdales FM we work with charities on various sites around the country that house vulnerable adults. We work with the charity to maintain their independence and quality of life by providing general maintenance and well-being. This particular role you will be working with one particular client in Gloucester providing multi skilled maintenance throughout their properties.
Main Responsibilities:
You will be providing a high-quality general repairs service in various properties and the wider repairs and servicing team as required
- Diagnose and undertake maintenance and repair work to achieve right first time and outstanding customer service.
- Contribute to the financial viability of the responsive repairs service by ensuring all work is correctly recorded
- Maintain an effective channel of communication with your Line Manager, customers, and management.
- Adopt a flexible approach to work, undertaking and promoting work within a Multi Skilled environment to avoid duplication and follow-on work being passed to other front-line staff.
- Responsible for your own health and safety and the safety of others as indicated in the company Health and Safety Policy. This will include complying with safe methods of work, use equipment safely, and contribute to risk assessments, use of PPE and reporting of incidents and accidents.
- Contribute to the development of a core range of materials, consumables and individual stocks to meet the demand of the responsive maintenance service.
- Adopt a flexible responsive maintenance service between the core working hours, currently Monday to Friday (8:30am – 4.30pm). You will be required to start and finish work at properties owned or managed by the company.
- Provide a high level of customer service at all times, behaving in a respectful, courteous and polite manner to internal and external customers.
