Job Summary:

Sales Role in Tech for a well-established App Development Agency.

As an Account Executive, you will play a crucial role in propelling our business forward. With a sharp eye for detail, nurturing tech project prospects to close, you will be a salesperson carrying a quota, balancing your time between managing inbound leads and conducting outbound prospecting.

This is a hybrid/remote role based in the vibrant Jewellery Quarter of Birmingham. If you have a passion for technology sales, this role could be the perfect fit for you.

Based in Birmingham’s renowned Jewellery Quarter, the company specialises in creating bespoke mobile and web applications for a variety of businesses. We are currently seeking an Account Executive to join our team. As an Account Executive, you will be a vital member of our team, responsible for nurturing tech project prospects from initial enquiry to close. Your role will encompass qualifying, nurturing, and closing inbound leads, and warm prospecting.

This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and excellent organisational abilities. It is ideally suited to individuals who are confident in making phone calls, maintaining customer databases (CRM), and nurturing deals to closure. You will report directly to and supporting the Managing Director

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Nurturing, negotiating and closing on deals within the company’s established sales process
  • Ensure your active accounts have a great experience with the company, expanding on accounts where opportunities present themselves.
  • Follow The Challenger Sale approach to sales and account management.
  • Arranging and conducting sales meetings and demos.
  • Learning and applying the company’s well-documented planning process and customer-relationship-building activities
  • Prospect to generate leads and new client business.
  • Handing over closed prospects to our delivery team for effective delivery of services
  • Manage your sales pipeline effectively to ensure sufficient opportunities to meet sales targets in the near, medium, and long term.
  • Keep your emails, CRM, and tasks in good order every day.
  • Provide weekly reports on your pipeline.

To be considered you will need to:

  • Be motivated and goal-oriented to meet sales targets.
  • Proficient in solution selling, presenting, communication and negotiation.
  • Show understanding and clear communication of technical matters.
  • Prove experience in closing similar-sized B2B deals (£25k+).
  • Prior experience meeting comparable annual sales targets (£400k+).
  • Skilled in lead generation.
  • Ability to create and maintain good internal and external relations.
  • Possess a clean UK driving licence.
  • Experience with CRM system.
  • Computer savvy, particularly with spreadsheets.

You may be required to undertake additional tasks and assume other responsibilities.

The annual salary for this role comprises a £32,000 p/a basic salary, plus a £21,000 commission if you achieve your sales targets. Commission is uncapped, meaning it’s possible to earn above this amount if you surpass targets (conditions apply). We also offer enhanced commission rates if you meet certain criteria, enabling you to earn more without increasing the sales target. A £2,000 car allowance is also included.

Given the high contract value of our deals, it’s feasible to reach the target with approximately two deals closed each month.

Although this is not a field-sales role and we prefer clients to approach us during the later stages of the sales process (or to close remotely), occasional travel to meet prospects may be required.

Both hybrid and remote working options are available.
