Job Title: Insurance Account Handler

Location: Watford, Hybrid

Salary: Experience Dependant

Job Type: Permanent, full time

The Role:

Due to high demand Samson Insurance Services are recruiting for a position for an experienced Account Handler to join a small but well-established and growing independent insurance brokerage in Watford.

The successful candidate will have experience in insurance broking, in particular in Property Owners Insurance and/or High Net Worth Home Insurance delivering excellent service to existing clients and supporting sales activity to win new clients. Some experience of Commercial SME business would be useful.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assisting the sales effort regarding client/prospect needs analysis, competitor analysis, pitch preparation.
  • Providing new business quotations.
  • Taking instructions from new and existing clients, being accountable for carrying out the full policy cycle, from first inception through to renewals, rebroking and MTAs.
  • Checking thoroughly all client documentation before despatch, ensuring queries are raised and amendments completed.

Essential Skills and Requirements:

To be considered for an Account Handler role you must have relevant insurance broking experience and be able to work quickly within a system, efficiently and to a high level of accuracy.

In addition, the following skills and experience are preferred:

  • An aptitude for sales and placing new business is highly desired.
  • Experience with Acturis is strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of the insurance broking landscape.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Knowledge of relevant insurance products and regulation.
  • Good knowledge of MS Office packages.
