The Role
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Accountant to join our highly successful team.
We are looking for a professional, highly motivated individual, with a flexible hands-on work ethic. You will be conscientious, organised with excellent attention to detail.
The role involves timely and accurate reporting of financial and performance information, monthly reconciliation of control accounts, quarterly VAT returns, monthly import reconciliations and Quarterly Corporation Tax payments, assistance with the annual statutory audit process and collation of monthly forecasts and annual budget packs. The postholder will also provide monthly backup for payroll as and when needed.
A minimum of two years post qualification experience at management level is a must as the postholder will have direct reports and be expected to manage the Finance Function.
The position is based at our offices in Ashford, Kent and the successful candidate must live within daily commuting distance of our Ashford office. Working hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday 08:30 – 17:00.

What Are Your Skills Necessary to Perform This Role?
- ACA, ACCA, CIMA qualified or equivalent.
- Minimum 2 years post qualification experience at management level.
- Experience producing monthly and annual reports.
- Experience preparing VAT returns, monthly import reconciliations and Quarterly Corporation Tax payments.
- Experience of Import Vat and Duty charges
- Great time management skills, being able to prioritise workloads to meet deadlines.
- Sound experience of Microsoft office suite.
- Knowledge of SAP will be a distinct advantage as would experience within the Construction Industry.
