“The Scotscape Group is a leading nationwide supplier of grounds maintenance services to Public Sector and Private clients with our head office based on the outskirts of Surbiton.
We have a vacancy for a suitable experienced individual to take responsibility for our Purchase Ledger and Credit Control activities. This is a part time role – expected to be three days a week.
The Candidate:
- The ideal candidate will be an effective communicator, target / results driven as well as being accurate and tenacious.
- We would expect the candidate to have the ability to take full responsibility of the ledgers and develop systems in line with the demands of our client requirements.
- Candidate should be fully proficient in Sage Construct and Sage Line 50 and will be tested on their skill set as part of the interview process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Full responsibility of Sales ledger for multiple companies of which 3 x are assigned to Lloyds Invoice Discounting facility.
- Month-end and daily invoicing
- Carrying out credit checks on new clients and assigning debt insurance cover.
- Verification of EU customers as per HMRC guidelines
- Filing EC sales list with HMRC
- Allocation of foreign currency transactions
- Reconciliation of both customer and bank accounts and purchase ledger.
- Maintaining and developing the sales ledger in line with the company requirements
- Effective debt collection
- Experience of referring accounts to debt collection and being responsible to collect all over-due balances via legal action procedures
- Daily banking
- Experience with posting and proficient in understanding of inter-co journals
