The Role
Within this role, you will be responsible for Engineering systems adherence, maintenance activities and asset improvement within the Manufacturing Engineering function to support the production facilities
You will be one of the Sap mentors for the site ensuring adherence to high standards and future system development
The incumbent of the role will ensure we are using the latest technology and techniques to identify the assets and equipment most at risk of failure allowing timely decision making based on cost and risk to operations.
Accountabilities within the role will include:
- To monitor and control maintenance SAP work backlog for the area of responsibility to within set standards
- To use SAP PR4 systems to carry out analysis on Engineering maintenance activities & produce monthly reports
- Support the sites operational reliability initiatives and failure reduction strategies
- Provide input into the UK operational reliability forum relating to SAP governance
- Provide SAP support for new user requests , delivery of SAP training and mentoring as required
- To support the Engineering teams with reliability & maintenance of the sites 3 major production facilities
- To play a lead role in the development and execution of improvement projects
- To implement the latest technologies to the sites aging assets
- Identify new & emerging technology to align with the sites Industry 4.0 goals
- To procure materials from stores and external suppliers
- To implement and sustain to continuous improvements with in the area of responsibility
- To identify best practice and write SAP maintenance instructions for the sites assets to optimise maintenance activities
- To identify & manage improvement projects to completion involving all aspects of budget control, contractor management & supervision
- Preparation of technical reports and project scope documents
The Candidate
The candidate must have a driven passion for improvements & application of new and emerging technologies.
- Applicants must have significant experience working with Sap PR4
- Ideally will be have completed a time served apprenticeship in either Electrical or Mechanical discipline
- You will be educated to a minimum HNC level or higher
- You must have worked in a Process manufacturing environment
- Strong IT skills required particularly with Microsoft Excel
- Candidates must be able to work as part of a multi-disciplined team.
