Job Title: Assistant Stockperson / General Farm Worker

Job Type: Temporary until May 2023. Working hours are 8.30am to 5.00pm Monday to Friday and alternate weekends.
Garrowby Estate is a traditional agricultural estate extending to 13,250 acres, located 13 miles east of York. The farming operation consists of 200 suckler cows of which 80 are pedigree limousins, alongside 700 breeding ewes.

The Role:
This is a temporary position with immediate start until May 2023. Duties will involve all aspects of livestock husbandry including lambing, calving, feeding and bedding up. Other duties will include fencing, park maintenance and machinery operations involved with the day to day care of the livestock.
- Reporting to the Farm Manager, the successful applicant will hold a current Telescopic Forklift Operator certificate along with a Sit-Astride ATV qualification. A driving licence is essential.
