This position is a remote role, open to be hired anywhere in the UK, ideally close to one of our offices in Richmond, Edinburgh, Reading, Bournemouth and/or Birmingham.

About the role:

Architecture and Orchestration

Our clients are looking for assistance navigating the vast array of services available within a public cloud, as well as expert setup and configuration in line with best-practice guidelines, complete with the requisite monitoring and alerting for the team to support ongoing.

Customer Support & Service Delivery

One of the key aspects of the role will be to assist new and existing customers on their journey to the public cloud from either on-prem or other private or public cloud services and to deploy new environments or services. We are also seeing a need to support customers with the more niche aspects of public cloud, utilising the myriad of ‘as a Service’ offerings within the stack and across the marketplace.

Our clients are looking for assistance navigating the vast array of services available within Azure, as well as expert setup and configuration in-line with best-practice guidelines, complete with the requisite monitoring and alerting for the team to support ongoing. The ideal candidate will grow into one of the ‘Product Champions’ for Azure or AWS services throughout the Ekco Group.

Also, Ekco provides a first-class service to customers, providing responsive, agile support. Another one of your responsibilities is to respond to customers’ needs including incident management, change management and work with our account managers to ensure the customers enjoy an awesome service.

Essential Skills / Experience:

  • 3+ years public cloud environment design, deployment, and support experience
  • Good working knowledge of core public cloud infrastructure components
  • Deployment of Virtual Networks and Hybrid Cloud Networks
  • Knowledge of cloud security-related services – Load Balancers, Secrets Management, Firewalls,
  • Experienced with container technologies and tools such as Docker running on Kubernetes (EKS or AKS)
  • Automation experience using Arm Templates, Bicep, PowerShell, or other similar tools
  • Design, implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps to set up and support the platform
  • Configuring Monitoring, Alerting and Dashboarding using Azure Monitor, Metrics Collection, and Log Management, or other tools
  • Scripting experience in Powershell/Python or equivalent
  • Confident in obtaining requirements and creating designs to meet technical challenges for our customers
  • Microsoft 365, Endpoint Management, and Azure AD experience
  • Translate general infrastructure concepts through a deep understanding of Public Cloud toolsets and be able to advise/recommend the appropriate solutions PaaS, IaaS, or other services to use for specific deployments
  • Azure or AWS Certifications Associate level

Bonus points if you have experience with:

  • Building and deploying IAC and Code Pipelines
  • Building highly available scalable solutions
  • Azure/AWS Well-Architected Framework
  • Windows Virtual Desktop Deployment experience
  • Knowledge of Rancher and Harbour
