Job Title: Baker (experienced in Mixing, Shaping and Oven Work)

Location: Greenwich, London

Salary: £30,000 per annum

Job Type: 45 hrs hours per week on rota basis including weekends and bank holidays.

Paul Rhodes Bakery is a multiple award-winning bakery who have been baking since 2003. We produce a wide range of handcrafted products including artisanal and classic breads, all butter vienoisserie, and a beautiful selection of cakes and pastry items, and deliver these everyday throughout the London region. We supply directly to over 1000 businesses from famous names such as Dinner by Heston, Fortnum & Mason, Shangri-La Hotels, Youngs pubs, Google and OXO Tower, to name a few, as well as to office caterers, local delis, bakeries and cafes and many more.

As a Company we take pride in producing exceptionally high-quality baked products, made with passion, creativity and care using traditional baking techniques and the finest ingredients whilst delivering an excellent service to our customers with every order. The role:

If you are a passionate, skilled Baker with experience in producing handcrafted breads, then we have a fantastic opportunity as a Baker at our Greenwich Bakery.

We want our bakery to be the very best and you and your role will be an integral part in this journey with us. This role would be perfect for a baker who is hungry for a new challenge and is eager to take the next step in their career and be part of an expert team of handmade bakers.

Key information:

  • Assist the Head Baker in the production of handmade baked products
  • Experience: Oven, Mixing, Scaling, & Shaping
  • Work as part of the team to ensure that breads are prepared in line with recipe, quality requirements and standards, and are to a high quality consistently every day in line with customer orders.
  • A pro-active personality – who is passionate about good bread, enthusiastic, people-focused and adaptable to all personalities
  • Can-do attitude
  • Organised and able to meet deadlines and work to a schedule/plan
  • Willingness to learn and a hunger to develop their Bakery skills
  • Be able to effectively communicate and work within a high performing team
  • Assist in the introduction and implementation of change
  • Follow and maintain Paul Rhodes Bakery processes and best practice
  • Have a genuine interest and desire to be part of a high-volume bakery
  • Adhere to and ensure all staff are complying to company policy and procedures
