Location: Solihull – Hybrid working (must be able to commute to the office 1-2 days per week)

The role:

As the business continues to expand, we require an exceptional Business Analyst working alongside a top team of Developers, you will play a key role in building our next generation SaaS product.

The Agile Business Analyst is a pivotal role within the Tech Department, enabling us to deliver continuous improvements to our product offering by analysing customer needs and jobs to be done and conveying requirements to UX and Development colleagues to deliver best in class experiences for customers.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  • Understand the role sales-i plays in the day to day lives of our customers; mapping their jobs to be done to the features we can develop to reduce customer effort and improve their experience
  • Breakdown Feature Ideas into Themes, Epics and User Stories with the Development team, comprising of UX, Development, Architecture and Solution Design colleagues.
  • Assist in the planning and delivery of Agile Scrum and Kanban processes to ensure the development community understand priorities and stakeholders understand progress towards our product goals
  • Help maintain a prioritised view of the backlog helping to prepare sprint planning and other ceremonies
  • Work with the UX team to provide consultancy/advice on technical decisions and designs.
  • Deliver consistent high-quality work in a high-pressure environment.
  • Work with Customer Service Managers to devise appropriate research strategies to generate focused insights and to convert concepts into high quality stimulus material.
  • Maintain a current understanding of the sales-i product and future enhancements as it evolves through successive releases.
  • Draw on analysis of competing and non-competing offerings to influence the sales-i product roadmap
  • Working alongside UX Analysts understand how customers interact with the sales-I product and assist in the generation of CX improvements that drive adoption and repeat usage.
  • Take complex language and processes and make them simple to understand.
  • Requirements and scope management and communication.
  • Share knowledge of tools/techniques with technical and non-technical team members in the wider business team.
  • Write and maintain documentation including information about APIs and security.
  • Assist the Delivery team in customer calls to discuss requirements and features being delivered to resolve them.

Key Working Relationships:

  • Advanced Business Analysis skills with experience of working in a flexible, fast-paced environment
  • Experience of working within a software house environment.
  • Strong knowledge of CRM and BI platforms and the underlying technologies that deliver a seamless customer experience
  • Experience working closely with software developers and UX designers, translating prototypes & wireframes into user stories.
  • Prioritising and planning sprint planning and closure events.
  • Experience with Confluence and JIRA.
  • Advanced experience with requirements gathering, breaking down epics into user stories and tasks with acceptance criteria.
  • Experience of TDD or BDD a benefit.
  • A collaborative nature with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organisational and planning skills.
  • Ability to work on own initiative and plan own work.
