The Role

Smarter Media Group is looking for a talented, capable, and experienced Business.

Development Executive to join their growing group of agencies based. This role is suitable for a passionate, results-driven, solutions-focused individual with a strong digital marketing sales background.

We are looking for someone who is focused on developing new business, sales.

development, lead generation, prospecting and providing a point of contact for clients, where appropriate. It is important that you work hard to identify any digital marketing sales opportunities and establish a strong network, building your funnel as you go.

Working within multiple agencies at group level you will have the unique opportunity to be involved in all aspects of the marketing group. Supported by the group marketing structure and campaign applicants will also be expected to develop their own sales pipeline, manage a steady stream of incoming leads as well as proactively generate revenue through new customer acquisition, by providing businesses with effective and innovative marketing services and solutions. With a can-do attitude and heaps of enthusiasm, like everyone else in the group, you will be focused on business development and helping the group develop good sales processes.

You will be driven by success, be self-motivated, with the ability to identify quick wins In parallel with longer-term opportunities. We are looking for a highly motivated Business Development Executive who thrives on closing a deal and earning commissions!

  • To achieve agreed revenue targets, KPI’s, goals and objectives
  • New business acquisition and nurturing growth of client spend
  • Maximise cross selling opportunities across the group businesses
  • Ensure all new client engagement is executed to a very high standard
  • Prepare and deliver creative sales presentations / proposals
  • Administration of quotes through to orders
  • Management of pipeline through a sales CRM
  • Liaising with marketing to initiate creative lead focused campaigns
  • Generate new creative ideas to grow revenue
  • Understand and deliver solutions which match client requirement
  • Travel to and from client / prospect locations

The Person

The key skills and qualities of a Business Development Executive:

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience working in a marketing/sales related role/

consultative selling

  • Excellent communication skills: verbal, written and presentation
  • Results driven, with a genuine drive for achieving sales targets
  • To be able to perform well under pressure in a target driven environment
  • Strong negotiation and closing skills and an ability to see opportunities
  • Capable of working on own initiative

  • Commercially aware and enthusiastic and interested about marketing and current trends
  • Proven track record of achieving and surpassing targets
  • Computer literate with good knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Valid Driving licence

The services delivered across our agencies include website design and development, digital design and print services, website maintenance, support and hosting, and a wide range of marketing services such as PPC, SEO, content marketing, social media (organic and paid) and email marketing.
