Salary: £30,000 + Commission Structure (£70,000 OTE)

Job responsibilities:

Due to expansion, we are looking for a dynamic Business Development Manager to focus on the development of our client portfolio, plus create and develop new business. Your main responsibility will be to sell Silver Linings products and services, predominately to the SME market, working with a unique portfolio of innovative Cloud, IT, Voice and Data based solutions.

  • Build and manage opportunity pipeline from self-sourced primarily and marketing supported lead generation
  • Use appropriate sales techniques and an in-depth knowledge of all products and services to sell solutions to business customers
  • Meet specific sales targets set by the Director of Sales and Marketing
  • Accept and respond to enquiries from both potential and existing customers, to provide customers with IT infrastructure consultancy, advise on corporate IT planning and design business continuity plans.
  • Provide feedback
  • Detect all commercial opportunities related to Silver Lining activates.
  • Liaise with internal teams including Marketing, Customer operations and Support.
  • Delivering sales presentations to high level executives and attending client meetings.
  • Attend internal and external company events to build relationships and generate opportunities
  • Completing administrative work, as required.
  • Managing a portfolio of lead generation sources
  • Effectively prioritise time management to ensure a balanced pipeline
  • Responsible for creating client relationships at all levels.
  • Ensure that Silver Lining is the “Preferred Supplier” with the selected clients.
  • Respond to new business opportunities via written proposal, presentations & consultancy.
  • Must have demonstrated experience of consultative selling and contract negation.

You must be a highly organised and motivated individual. You must use your initiative to work effectively, thrive on working in fast paced environment, be passionate about delivery and be willing to go the extra mile.

  • Proven track record of consistent sales results over a prolonged period
  • Results driven & activity bold Vs shy
  • Show sound judgement when dealing with gatekeepers and decision critical stakeholders
  • Ability to produce reporting to concisely communicate own Sales forecast to Sales & Marketing Director
  • Be able to work with other team members and departments to execute projects
  • Have the excellent communication, management skills and act in a professional manner.
  • Ideally have exposure to SaaS Software, Cloud Technology or Telephony solution sales
  • Be receptive and enthusiastic about technical innovation, with the ability to learn and assimilate knowledge.
  • Be capable of working under pressure and able to meet targets and deadlines.
  • Excellent telephone manner to converse and negotiate at all levels of management within the customers’ organisation.
  • Competent written skills are essential to write effective proposals and reports, deal with written enquiries, plan jobs using Microsoft Office suite & CRM tools
  • A good understanding of budgets and their use, along with good mathematical skills to work within them.
