Job Title: Business Development Manager – Waste/Recycling

Location: South-East, London

Salary: Up to £37,000 per year (Uncapped Commission – OTE £45k+)

Job type: Permanent, Full time.

CD Waste Management are a successful, independent waste management and recycling company based in South East London. We specialise in the reclamation and processing of all recycling streams using our fleet of vehicles including Dustcart, Skips, Cages & RoRo’s. or via our range of Compaction Machinery.

The Role:

We are currently looking to recruit a BDM to join our busy Commercial Team and increase business operations across London and the surrounding areas.

The successful candidate will offer total waste management solutions to all types of clients from high street shops, restaurants, schools, hotels, offices and any business large or small that produces disposable rubbish.

Experience:

  • Experience within the Waste Management and Recycling Sectors is mandatory to be considered for this role (Ideally from a competitor).

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

As part of the Business Development team you are responsible for driving the business forward through the development of working relationships with existing customers, and your instinct and ability to identify new opportunities using your sales expertise.

You will be required to:

  • Secure new contracted business to win long term customers
  • Use your infections personality to draw in new customers
  • Actively prospect operation catchment areas
  • Compile quotations for prospective and existing business
  • Conducting site surveys for customers

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • A tenacious and well presented individual
  • Proven record of sales history and winning new business
  • Excellent organisation and time management skills
  • Good level of basic education
  • Ability to communicate at all levels with confidence
  • Positive attitude and team player mindset
