Job Title: Business Development Manager

Location: Cardiff / Hybrid

Salary: £45,000 per annum + Company car

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Forming part of the SYNLAB Group, Lextox are a UKAS accredited laboratory based in Cardiff. Lextox provide drug, alcohol and DNA testing services for family law cases and childcare proceedings. SYNLAB in the UK is a trusted expert in clinical laboratory and medical diagnostic services.

About the role:

We have a new opportunity for a Business Development Manager within our Sales team in Cardiff, on a full time and permanent basis. You will have the chance to be a part of an exciting and dynamic environment, where your primary focus will be on identifying and capitalising on new business opportunities. Your role will involve cultivating relationships with local authorities and private clients to secure new framework agreements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the National Sales Manager in driving new business, whilst actively supporting the Client Managers
  • Completion of RFQ/Tender documentation as and when applicable
  • Encourage cooperation, collaboration and teamwork amongst the sales team
  • Implement the requirements of the company Quality Management System and help maintain ISO 17025 accreditation
  • Ensure that sales activities are recorded and that you are kept up to date in the drug and alcohol testing field
  • Positively participate in Sales meetings

About you:

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • A proven track record in achieving revenue targets
  • Experience in working on tenders
  • Ability to build and maintain positive client and working relationships within the team
  • Ability to communicate at all levels
  • Resilient, proactive and well organised
  • Experience of working with a CRM system

Desirable Skills and Experience:

  • Experience of working within the Public Sector industry
