Job Title: Business Development Manager

Location: Park Royal, London

Salary: £60,000 per annum

Job Type: Full Time, Permanent

Established in the UK since 2005, The Company has grown as an award-winning main contractor for external façade restoration using façade gommage®, the only system designed to professionally clean building façades without the need for scaffolding.

They are the most comprehensive partner to help clean and restore your building facades as well as caring for your interior stonework. Their restoration teams work on professional façade restoration, masonry repairs and external building refurbishment, and their Specialist Stone Care division specialises in graffiti removal, the application of coatings and the stripping and re-polishing of all stone floors.

They also survey the interior of buildings, advice on periodic floor cleaning and provide maintenance for all types of natural stone flooring. In addition to cleaning and restoring, they developed Aqua Fend®, which is a range of four exclusive products to protect buildings, pavements and floors against a multitude of unwanted contaminants.

The Role:

Over the last decade they have grown significantly. As its portfolio of work expands the need for a dedicated business development team with a solid knowledge of the work they undertakes is paramount to enable the company to deliver the best possible service to all clients.

This is an exciting time to join the organisation whilst developing new business relationships and links and expanding opportunities for the team.

The role purpose is to focus on developing customer awareness of their services and building relationships with both existing and new clients. The role is required to ensure the successful delivery of their services by working closely with their operations team.

Key Requirements:

  • Promote the work undertaken by them through solid knowledge of painting, stone masonry and façade/stone cleaning
  • Generate new opportunities by delivering excellent, consistent service and on-going support
  • Identify new business opportunities within their sectors
  • Maintain regular contact with all customers to expand the sales base of the company
  • Provide on-going progress updates/ reports on business development activities to the Managing Director
  • Create and manage the proposal/tender/quotation process with the support of the office team
  • Jointly review all business development tenders and quotes ahead of dispatch
  • Prepare sales presentations
  • Organise and attend sales meetings with existing or new clients
  • Record all client information and activity in a timely manner and via appropriate database
  • File and record all sales related purchase orders
  • Contribute to an accurate calendar of upcoming works
  • Promote the value of their services in the negotiation process driving maximum margin for the company
  • Attend networking meetings, exhibitions, conferences and entertaining clients (as and when required)
  • Ensure all enquiries are responded to in a timely manner and in line with agreed response times
  • Meeting potential clients and fostering relationships

Essential Requirements and Experience:

  • A proven sales track record in selling solutions to clean buildings
  • Previous and evident experience of stone masonry, building cleaning systems and reparation
  • Demonstrable record of consistently overachieved sales targets
  • Effective team member with the ability to orchestrate the internal and external resources needed to effectively manage the sales process
  • The ability to promote the value of their services in the negotiation process to drive maximum margin for the company
  • Strong business acumen and professionalism
  • Excellent customer focus, strong attention to detail and the ability to operate in a dynamic sales organisation
  • Outstanding negotiation skills
  • Excellent MS package skills
