Job Title: Business Development Manager (Attachment Hire)

Location: Edmonton, North London N18

Salary: Circa £45,000 per annum plus commission & company car

Job type: Full Time, Permanent

BPH Attachments Ltd are a fast-growing and pro-active, multi-million pound family business. We are one of the UK’s most respected suppliers of high-quality hydraulic excavator attachments for sale or hire, serving customers across a wide range of industry.

Job Purpose:

Supporting our new North London, Edmonton Depot with business development in new and lapsed markets, increasing hire through pro-active business development. A predominantly field sales role, based out of the Edmonton depot.

Key Duties:

  • Identify and increase hire opportunities for a wide range of excavator attachments, researching prospects using all available tools (Google, LinkedIn, CRM system. etc.)
  • Keep up to date with market trends, competitor activities, product ranges, strengths and weaknesses
  • Ability to achieve targets and develop and grow the territory, generating new business by cold calling as well as maintaining existing customer accounts
  • Manage the sales process including lead generation, negotiation, quoting, identifying products to meet customers needs, and understanding the internal hire process
  • Work well with other members of the sales and hire teams to ensure maximum revenue and performance is achieved
  • Effectively manage time and plan days / sales calls visiting customers or prospects on site and at customer offices
  • Attend monthly sales meetings
  • Ad hoc duties as required

Key competencies:

  • Must have proven track record of winning new business
  • Previous experience with the plant hire or attachment hire industry
  • Have a hands-on, can-do attitude, willing to go the extra mile
  • Customer focused with excellent customer services skills, ability to build strong customer relationships
  • Highly motivated and target driven
  • Excellent IT skills (Previous experience of CRM program an advantage)
  • Full driving licence
