Job Title: Care Worker
Location: Windsor
Salary: £11ph weekdays and £12ph weekends.
Job type: Minimum 20 hours per week (view to increase). Flexible hours.
The Role:
King Homecare are looking for Care Worker’s to join their specialised team covering all forms of care from Alzheimer’s and Dementia, through to Live-In Care and Companionship. We are based and cover the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead and are looking for care focused and experienced individuals to join us!
Purpose of Position:
- Meeting the personal care needs of service users in a way that respects the dignity of the individual and promotes independence.
- Evening shifts and alternative weekends will be required.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assist service users with all personal care needs.
- To assist service users with mobility problems and other physical disabilities.
- Offer companionship and social inclusion and take people out for walks, garden centres etc.
- Reporting and recording in daily notes, use of a smart phone preferred.
- To report to the registered manager any significant changes in the health or circumstances of a service user.
- All staff are required to attend mandatory training where appropriate.
- Identify and support appropriately service users with capacity and those who lack capacity.
- Record appropriately all decisions which relate to service users who lack capacity.
- Involve and consult with service users, their families, representatives or advocates to ensure that the service user’s views are expressed and acted upon.
- Be aware of requirements regarding codes of practice and relevant codes of conduct where appropriate issued by professional bodies.
- Promote good practice and be vigilant in recognising and reporting practice which does not meet the defined standard.
- To act always, to safeguard service users from any form of abuse and to report such concerns immediately.
- To adhere and promote company values.
Desired Experience:
- Homecare experience is preferred.
- Covering the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead.
- Experience with those living with dementia preferred but not essential.
Essential Experience:
- Able to drive with access to a car with business insurance.
- Must be double vaccinated at minimum, booster preferred.
