Job Title: Chef De Rang

Location: Holland Park, London (W11 4JG)

Salary: Up to £14.00 per hour.

Job type: Full Time – Permanent.

Purpose of Role:

To provide a warm, friendly and efficient food and beverage service to our guests, ensuring exceptional service standards are delivered and maintained at all times in line with our guest expectations. Assisting to Bartenders and Kitchen Team – working as a team. To make sure that the restaurant and the bar is able to run efficiently; keeping items stocked up, clearing and preparing tables and the bar.

Main Duties:

Duties include but not limited to –

  • Assist in creating a warm and welcoming environment for our guests
  • Ensure an efficient and safe delivery of all food and beverage orders in line with guest expectations
  • Ensuring an exceptional level of service is maintained at all times
  • Set up, clear and promptly set up tables after use to ensure that guests can be seated in a timely manner
  • Ensure the restaurant and bar areas are clean and well presented at all times and assist with cleaning and housekeeping duties as required
  • Prepare all back of house service points with regard to expected numbers for breakfast, lunch or dinner requirements as necessary
  • Assist in the set up and preparation, and provide service duties for functions as required (including Dragon Room)
  • Support the kitchen staff as and when required and in accordance with hygiene and safety regulations
  • Setting up the bar (stock up with ice, cut fruit, fill up juices)
  • Clean and polish glasses
  • Make and deliver coffee
  • Help Bartenders with closing the bar and stock up
  • Support Bartenders during the shift
  • Maintenance and stocking of all stations (cutlery, plates, water, sauces and keeping stations tidy)
  • Helping your colleagues to run bus trays downstairs and keeping the pantry
  • Clear the empty glasses and plates from the bar, check if drinks need to be taken to tables
  • Delivering food orders accurately
  • Making sure the all appropriate set up for serving is done in advance (plates, cutlery, glasses)
  • Attend training sessions and team meeting as required

  • To have a full working knowledge of all table numbers
  • To understand the essence of the company and to have a comprehensive knowledge of all F&B menus and drinks lists
  • To have a full working knowledge of all table numbers and their positions
  • To have an excellent understanding of the different menus, the times at which they are served and the style of service for drinks, food, coffee, etc
  • To have a thorough knowledge of all dishes on the menu, to be able to identify them and to know their ingredients
  • To have a full working knowledge of all beverage items to include undertaking training in wines
  • To have a full understanding of all items of equipment, their uses, and where they are kept
  • To have a thorough working knowledge of the Tissel system to include geography and what to do if it crashes, and knowing how the credit card payment handsets work.
  • To pay due regard to the company’s Health and Safety Policy and to ensure standards are met throughout the business.
