Job Title: Civil Enforcement Officer

Location: Harrogate

Salary: £22,653- £23,487 (includes 5% flexibility payment) – Grade C.

Job type: Full Time, Permanent (37 hours per week). You will work on a 5 over 7 days rota basis (including bank holidays) with start and finish times between 06.45 and 00.15. Certified training and uniform will be provided.

Closing Date: 16th October 2022.

Interviews to be Held on: 27th/28th October 2022.

About the role:

As a civil enforcement officer you will patrol both on street and car park locations across the Harrogate district, checking that vehicles are parked correctly, and where necessary issuing Penalty Charge Notices (parking tickets).

You will patrol mainly on foot in all weathers in and around town centre, sometimes driving a Council vehicle to other locations. The role also involves a limited amount of housekeeping duties in the car parks.

Candidate Requirements:

You will have previous experience of interacting with the public in a calm and tactful manner. Whilst you will be supported, you will be working alone mostly using your own initiative and you will be responsible for your daily activities.
