About us:
Ashbrook Precision Engineering Ltd, a Cullompton based forward looking sub contract precision engineering company, are urgently recruiting for a skilled CNC Machinist to join their expanding team. Based on Kingsmill Industrial Estate, adjacent to junction 28 on the M5 motorway, you will work closely with customers from a wide range of industries including oil and gas, marine, cryogenic and medical amongst many others.
You will have the opportunity to work with a range of materials and work with small, medium or large components of a diverse interesting nature in an excellent working environment.
The role:
- Programming, Setting and Operating a CNC milling machine or CNC turning machine
- Working to tight tolerances
- Reading and working to engineering drawings
- Working individually and within a team at times
What we are looking for:
- At least 2 years within a CNC milling environment or CNC turning environment
- Able to program using Fanuc Controls or able to retrain from another control system will be an advantage
- Ability to read engineering drawings
- You must be able to program, set and operate CNC machinery without supervision after suitable training if required
- Experience of working with both metals and plastics is desirable
- An ability to work within a fast-paced working environment whilst demonstrating high levels of accuracy and pride in the completed work is essential
