Belmont View is 50 bed General Residential and Residential Dementia Care Home based in Guisborough, 2 minutes’ walk from the high street and bus stops.

In depth induction training is given for all employees to support those who have worked in care previously and those who have not.
Having always achieved a 5 star rating with the Food Standards Agency and minimum of a ‘Good’ rating with CQC, we pride ourselves on high standards and we are looking for a cook that will hold the same standards.
Key responsibilities:
Our cooks are responsible for preparing three home cooked meals per day for our residents and a light meal/snack for supper time. In between these, home cooked snacks and light bites are prepared to accompany our resident’s tea trolleys.
We operate a three-week rolling seasonal menu which is reviewed regularly with input from all cooks, all staff, residents and residents’ families. Input from professionals is also sought to ensure that the menu meets our residents’ nutritional needs as well as their wants and wishes.
The cook will work alongside a kitchen assistant who will support them with simple food preparation, pot washing and cleaning duties.
The Candidate:
- The successful candidate must have a good understanding of food hygiene and the standards required to ensure safe storage, handling, preparation and cooking of food.
- Experience as a cook is essential but experience does necessarily have to have been in a care home.
- The successful candidate must hold or be willing to work towards catering qualifications.
