Job Title: Cover Coordinator and Administrator

Location: Plumstead, South East

Salary: Scale 5 – £22,194 (Actual gross salary)

Job Type: 35 hours per week, (7am to 3pm Monday to Friday) 39 weeks per year (Term time only plus one week)

About the role:

As Cover Coordinator you will be responsible for picking up messages from the staff absence line in the early morning and organising and planning the daily cover rota. You will need to be highly organised and an excellent administrator in order to be able to create cover and keep accurate records.

You will also be responsible for the day to day supervision of the school’s Cover Supervisors who supervise whole classes during the short-term absence of teaching staff, guiding and instructing students in the work that has been left by the department or class teacher. You will ensure that the lessons are being covered appropriately.

About you:

To be successful you will need to be:

  • Qualified to at least Level 2 (GCSE or equivalent) including level 2 qualifications in English and Maths.
  • A high level of computer literacy including the use of spreadsheets and information management systems is essential.
  • Experience of using the Bromcom data base is desirable.
