We’ll provide you with relevant training on our claims system and processes. Hours of work will be 35 per week, Monday to Friday.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Taking calls from customers and handling our claims cases from the first notification of loss (FNOL), using empathy and sensitivity when required
  • Enquiring about the claim and gathering as much information as possible information on the matter, such as dates, times, location and events, plus other vital details to help progress the claim
  • Collate and record the information given to you on our system, including any evidence of the claim such as photographic details or statements from third parties
  • Provide information for reports for our Clients and updates of the progression of claims
  • Be aware of any cost issues or claims which do not appear legitimate, escalating concerns to your team leader appropriately
  • Assist with reviews of your cases, providing any additional information which may be relevant
  • With progression, you’ll also be involved with Client meetings and conference calls

About you:

You’ll ideally have previous office-based experience and understand the importance of excellent customer service. A strong customer focus and good prioritisation skills will ensure you’ll excel in this role, as will the ability to effectively communicate with your colleagues and our valued customers. We’ll need you to act with diplomacy when dealing with confidential information, always putting yourself in the customers position and acting accordingly. You’ll also be working to service level targets which are very achievable

You will also have/will be:

  • Good communication skills, written and verbal
  • Strong organisation skills, be able to use your initiative, set priorities and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work flexibly and willingness to respond to changing work requirements
  • High level of attention to detail and high level of accuracy
  • Dependable with high level of integrity
  • Confident and experienced with MS office, including word, excel and outlook
  • A team player who enjoys working collaboratively with colleagues
  • A positive approach to your work
