Job Title: Customer Service Administrator

Location: Preston / WFH (Hybrid)

Salary: £21,000 per annum

Job type: Full time, Permanent (37.5 hours per week)

A long established company in designing and manufacturing is currently looking for a Customer Service Administrator.

Main Purpose of the Role:

  • A proactive member of the customer services team, dealing with both internal and external customers by phone and by email
  • To ensure all customer needs are met promptly and accurately
  • Providing office support to the sales team where necessary with a view to achieving departmental goals
  • Achieving group targets as defined by your line manager

Main Responsibilities:

  • Point of contact for customer enquiries, handling inbound calls (circa 50 per day) & emails
  • Customer reporting as and when required
  • Co-ordination and management of sampling orders (swatches and Point of Sale)
  • End to end management of the order book process
    • Entry of sales orders
    • Allocation of stock where appropriate
    • Issue resolution with customers
    • Re-date and reconfirm ETAs for customers where there are delays
  • Working with quality control and warehouse to resolve issues and expedite orders
  • Working with purchasing to secure ETA dates
  • Working with IT team to enhance systems and processes that improve customer service
  • Arranging returns from customers where appropriate and raising Returns Authorisations
  • Processing web based sales orders
  • Setting up customer profiles to give them web site access

The Candidate:

Qualifications:

  • GCSE Maths/English Grade A-C (Essential)
  • A-levels (Desirable)
  • Degree qualification (Desirable)
  • Customer Service related NVQ (Desirable)

Knowledge / Skills:

  • Good and effective communication skills; both verbal and written
  • Ability to record information in a concise, accurate and legible manner, as appropriate
  • Ability to work on own initiative
  • Proven ability of organisation skills
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft office
  • Competent level of IT literacy
