Job Title: Data Analyst

Location: Doncaster, South Yorkshire (Office based with flexible home working)

Salary: circa £19,000 dependant on qualifications & experience

Job Type: Full time, permanent (37.5 hours a week, Mon-Friday)

Encircle Marketing is an innovative market research company focussed purely on delivering bespoke “big data” insights to the tyre industry and wider automotive market.

Working with many leading Manufacturers and Retailers, we monitor globally, the price of tyres across 44 Countries and more than 300 websites, collating in excess of 5,000,000 prices a day.

This role will support this function, analysing the daily data flow, comparing information and ensuring consistent reporting to our Client Base is always provided.

About the Role:

The role will support the collation, analysis, validation, preparation and presentation of data and statistical information through the use of in-house systems and database tools.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data & Reporting – Collate and interpret online data, analyse datasets and carrying out comparable analysis and ensuring that this is reflected in reports
  • Provide feedback On processes in order to ensure continuous improvement and be part of the decision-making in any projects relating to process/ program that underpins the data collation
  • Monitoring – Carry out the necessary auditing process and ensure that all reports are accurate, fit for purpose and complete. Identify inaccuracies before reports are made available and advise senior management where the program requires review or amendment making recommendations where necessary. Validate and quality check reports produced by other team members
  • Communication – Work with relevant colleagues to ensure that deadlines are met and highlight any potential risks. Liaise with external Information Technology providers to ensure that their support meets SLA’s and give feedback where changes are required. Ensure Senior Management are kept informed of any problems in good time and propose/agree solutions where necessary. Be able to identify where an issue needs to be escalated and ensure that this is done in a timely manner
  • Processes – Be aware of all processes that relate to data collation. Understand where data analysis fits into this and ensure a seamless process
  • Awareness of the challenges of monitoring internet data collation, the wider e-commerce environment

Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience:

Essential:

  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel to advanced level used in a work environment
  • Ability to employ a flexible approach to work with a particular focus on team working
  • To be able to prioritise own workload and be able to meet challenging and tight deadlines
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • GCSE Maths and English A-C and educated to A Level or equivalent as a minimum
  • A minimum of 2 years experience in a previous relevant role

Desirable:

  • MySQL Database knowledge
  • Degree level education
  • A knowledge of e-commerce
