Location: Saffron Walden

Salary: £26,000 – £28,000 based on experience

Job type: Full time – Permanent

Saffron Walden Golf Club is set in the picturesque surroundings of Audley End’s famous mansion, the Club boasts superb views over the historic market town of Saffron Walden.

In addition to our outstanding golf course, we have a 140-person capacity clubhouse and bar & catering facility serving freshly cooked, homemade food on a daily basis, alongside numerous beers & wines. We also have a private function/conference room seating up to 24 people seminar style overlooking the 18th green, in addition to one of the largest private car parks in town.

The Role

Saffron Walden Golf Club has a fantastic reputation for the quality of its golf course, its catering and its staff. We are looking for a passionate food and beverage professional who wants to be part of our team.

The club holds regular functions ranging in sizes, from a 20-cover buffet to 120 cover 3 course meals. With a small team, all catering is completed in house to meet the needs of all customers.

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Demi/Chef De Partie to work in conjunction with the Chefs as we expand our small kitchen team ready for the season.

Main Responsibilities

  • Produce all necessary food for all food service operations as required and instructed by the Head Chef/Sous chef.
  • Maintaining quality and quantity control in all aspects, from portion control to freshness of the products and presentation.
  • Ensure that the cleaning of kitchen is to the agreed standard.
  • To ensure high personal hygiene.
  • Ensure all Club rules are adhered to at all times.
  • To be aware of and act in accordance with set procedures including Fire Safety and Health and Safety at all times.
  • To carry out any reasonable requests made by a member of the management team

The Ideal Candidate

  • Experience in a variety of kitchens.
  • Be a team player.
  • Eligible to work in the UK.
