The Role:

We are looking for a Deputy Chief Executive Officer (Executive Director of Education) to join our Executive team.

The Deputy Chief Executive Officer (Executive Director of Education) will be the strategic lead for education for the Trust. This will include supporting the Chief Executive Officer by contributing to and influencing all areas of the Trust’s strategy, with a particular focus on the leadership of the Trust’s school improvement strategy for all schools within the Trust.

Our current Executive Director of Education will be retiring within the year and we are excited to be able to recruit a successor to start working with us in September 2024.

Broad Horizons Education Trust is a medium sized, highly respected and thriving Multi Academy Trust in Norfolk. At present, we have 3 secondary schools, 2 specialist residential SEMH schools and 13 primary schools in our Trust.

We appreciate the unique qualities of each school in our Trust and commit to supporting them with their own improvement journey. We know ‘time matters’ for every child and so we are ambitious for every school and their pupils.

We are not afraid to do things differently. We understand there is no one route to success and we are always looking for new ways to do even better. We do not shy away from innovation and trying something new. Paving our own way is as much a part of our Trust mindset as striving for excellence. We are committed to a model of robust evaluation and continuous improvement.

We know that promoting high standards is not just about achieving great results. For us, excellence is about helping our people and our schools to flourish and be remarkable in every way.

You will share in our belief that schools need to be committed to providing a supportive and inclusive learning environment, giving every child and young person the opportunity to fulfil their potential now, and in the future.

We seek to realise the power of individuals and organisations working together in collaboration, whilst retaining their individuality.

We are committed to working in partnership and sharing our learning with the wider community in Norfolk and take a system leader approach, to help improve education far beyond our own network.

Together, we go beyond what is achievable alone.

Benefits:

In return you will receive a competitive salary, access to the Teachers Pension Scheme, a flexible working environment together with other benefits including the cycle to work scheme and access to our Employee Assistance Programme.
