Due to our continuous growth, our Design office is looking for an experienced commercial kitchen designer with management skills that is ready to take a leading role in driving company’s creative direction.

The Company:

At the core of our business is our design office, currently comprising of 6 operators, expanding to 7 total.

Company business is generated by our sales force team to produce high quality commercial kitchen and restaurant design drawings and 3D visualizations, followed up with accurate technical service drawings once a project is secured.

The Design Office Manager will manage the day-to-day operations within the design team, to ensure maximum efficiency, innovation, and the sustained ability to meet the demands from our clients. This will include project co-ordination by assigning projects to design team members, reviewing existing plans and technical details to improve the overall output of the team.

The Design Office Manager will work on their own 2D designs within AutoCad and Revit, and will also lead the creative direction by creating 3D visualisations on Autodesk 3DS Max.

The successful candidate will liaise with customers, architects, suppliers, M&E companies as well as all other departments within IFSE (estimating, order processing, project management and administration) to provide an effective design and technical service alongside the wider design team.

Interior design work will be required with preparation of proposals and mood boards for finishes and furniture for restaurant customer facing areas. Occasional site visits to take site dimensions and gain experience will be required.

The role:

We are looking for a Design Office Manager to join our hardworking design team. Strong AutoCad and 3DS Max skills are essential. The ideal candidate will have experience working as a mid-level to senior designer within the hospitality, restaurant or retail Industry.

Required Skills

  • Excellent high level AutoCad skill essential.
  • Experience in commercial kitchen and restaurant design with an in-depth knowledge of catering equipment.
  • Good standard of technical awareness.
  • Good knowledge of latest Windows operating systems.
  • Good communication skills – all designers are an integral part of a friendly team and must be a good team player with a helpful attitude and have excellent spoken and written English.
  • Capability to produce fully detailed M&E service drawings
  • Knowledge of general architecture building layouts.

  • Microsoft Office Suite (essential)
  • Adobe Photoshop (essential)
  • Developing Plans/Moodboard/Proposals
  • Internet proficient for uploading and downloading drawings and documents.

Desirable Experience

  • CRM Systems
  • Common Data Environments (CDE)
  • REVIT Knowledge
