Job Title: Design Team Administrator

Location: Aldridge, West Midlands WS9

Salary: £30,000

Job Type: Permanent, full time (40 hours a week)

The Company:

We are well regarded family business supplying mid to high end furnishings and accessories to the trade. Our product ranges cover furniture, lighting, mirrors, wall art and accessories. These are mostly designed in house and manufactured by suppliers from abroad then distributed worldwide.

About the role:

We are currently seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Design Administrator to join our creative team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role, supporting both design-related tasks and ensuring efficient administrative processes. A flair for design is required along with design software abilities, as the candidate would be expected to make an active contribution within the design process. The candidate would also be required to be able to learn the relevant QC and legal standards required across the ranges.  We are looking for someone enthusiastic and adaptable with potential to grow within the company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the design team to assist in various design-related tasks and projects.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and vendors for design-related materials and resources.
  • Utilise Sage 200 for administrative tasks.
  • Maintain awareness of ISO9001 standards and ensure compliance in design processes.
  • Working closely with the design team and marketing team to ensure that all jobs are completed, and deadlines are met.
  • Manage administrative functions such as arrange design meetings and take minutes, document control, maintaining and filing project records.
  • Handle general office administration duties, including answering calls and managing correspondence.

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Proven experience in design-related tasks.
  • Strong administrative and organizational skills.
  • Competency in using Sage 200 for administrative purposes.
  • Familiarity with ISO9001 quality standards.
  • Experience working with overseas suppliers.
  • Relevant qualifications in design and administration.
  • Previous experience in a design and administrative role is highly desirable.
