Job Title: Director of Health & Safety and Estates

Location: Ashington Based (will be expected to travel to other sites on occasion)

Salary: £43,570 – £47,665 (Band 10)

Job type: Full Time (37 hours per week)

NCEA Trust has a unique opportunity for an experienced person to undertake the role of Director of Health & Safety and Estates based at its head office in Ashington. Under the guidance of the Director of Finance and Central Services you will provide high quality leadership and management for all aspects of The Trust’s estates, facilities and health and safety.

The MAT:

Northumberland Church of England Academy Trust currently comprises of 8 schools across, most of which are based in south east Northumberland. Our aim is to provide an inclusive and diverse learning environment for all our students, enabling everyone in our community to ‘let their light shine’.

The Role:

You will be responsible for the long and short-term planning, implementation and high-quality delivery in relation to estates, facilities and health and safety related aspects of the work of the Trust and its local environment in a multi-site capacity.

You will take a leading role in connection with risk assessments for all estates and facilities across the Trust and be responsible for project management of any building work.

The Requirements:

  • IOSH trained or equivalent
  • Level 3 qualification (A level or equivalent) in a relevant area or demonstrates skills to the equivalent
  • Experience of working in a multi-site capacity
  • Experience of line management
