Salary depending upon qualifications and experience

We are recruiting for an experienced Registered Care Manager to support the on-going development and management of a distinctive homecare business based in Birmingham, serving communities across Birmingham and surrounding areas.

THE ROLE: The purpose of the position is to ensure our customers are supported in accordance with person centred approaches. To lead, develop and mentor a team of staff and promote an individual choice.

We are also recruiting for a Deputy manager so any applications looking to get into management will be considered

Key Responsibilities to include:

  • Provide clear vision, strategies, direction and support to staff while working in a way which is central to the values and cultures of Watra Care
  • Planning and prioritising the work of the team
  • Risk assessments, care plans and full input towards the support of all customers
  • Managing performance
  • Identifying and meeting staff and own learning and development needs
  • Coaching and ‘on the job training’
  • Developing and managing customer relationships, both internal and external
  • Pro-actively identifying potential problems and making objective decisions to find resolutions
  • Updating company database, answering emails
  • Participation in the on-call manager rota

What we are looking for:

As a dedicated and confident individual with strong communication and interpersonal skills you will play a significant and valued role working alongside the Operational Director to further grow and develop this business.

We will also consider candidates interested in a Deputy Care Manager position.

The Candidate:

The ideal candidate for the position will have experience in managing teams within the social care sector. You will need a positive attitude with a caring and patient nature. You will have excellent management skills and be able to support and inspire members of staff.

Key experience for the role:

  • A recognised qualification (NVQ4, RMA and Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care) or working toward this
  • Previous, recent experience within the social care sector
  • Elderly care support background essential
  • Good working knowledge of the Fundamental Standards & Health and Social Care Act essential
  • IT Literate
  • Excellent leadership skills
  • Friendly, patient and caring nature
  • Flexibility and reliability
  • Ability to drive is preferred
