Job Title: Employee Engagement and Wellbeing Partner

Location: Highbury, Portsmouth

Salary: £33,792 – £35,846 (Full-Time Equivalent)

Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent, 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year.

About the role:

The Employee Engagement and Wellbeing Partner will provide high quality, professional, proactive people focused support and advice to staff and managers working with all levels of the College management team in relation to employee engagement and wellbeing. The Engagement and Wellbeing Partner will proactively support the delivery of the People Strategy across the College and take a lead role in the EEDI strategy implementation, staff forums and staff surveys, analysing results to develop and implement positive change. The role will also take a lead role in HR/People project work, policy and procedure development and the creation and delivery of people training.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the successful delivery of College’s strategic and operational business plans
  • Lead the delivery of the People Strategy and operational people priorities
  • Deploying new engagement solutions that support the strategic objectives
  • Managing the cross-college group health and wellbeing service
  • Building and executing communications strategies to deliver employee experience solutions
  • Project managing delivery of tactical and strategic employee experience solutions
  • Lead on the EEDI initiatives
  • Partner with, support, advise and guide managers and staff on wellbeing and engagement projects
  • Generate, collate and interpret people data, to implement effective change from an engagement and wellbeing perspective
  • Lead on staff absence
  • Liaise with recognised trade unions
  • Work with Training & Development team to develop and lead training on employee relations matters
  • Identify and recommend a range of solutions

To be successful in this role, below is what we would need from you:

  • A minimum of CIPD Level 5 qualification or equivalent experience in a People/HR role
  • Demonstrable experience and understanding of EEDI Initiatives and embedding them across an organisation
  • Demonstrable evidence and practical experience of working at a mid-level within a People/HR department with a focus on employee engagement ideally within the FE sector.
  • Ability to manage a diverse workload to challenging and sometimes conflicting deadlines
  • Effective negotiation and influencing skills, with the ability to apply these across the range of cross College relationships
