Job Title: Engineer – Traffic Schemes

Location: Romford, Essex, RM1 3DT

Salary: Grade 6 – £34,341 – £37,725 per annum

Job type: Full time, Permanent

About the role:

As a Schemes Engineer you will be involved in designing and project managing a variety of highways and traffic schemes. You will also have exposure to the Development Control process within Highways assisting with S106, 278 and 38 agreements as well as working on a variety of parking schemes from minor improvements to town centre Controlled Parking Zone designs. This is an exciting opportunity for somebody wishing to develop their career in Design and Civil Engineering.

About you:

Experience:

  • Experience leading and coordinating projects
  • Experience of successfully assisting with budgets
  • Able to demonstrate an innovative approach to problem solving with a successful outcome
  • Proven experience of working with staff at all levels of the organisation and developing effective relationships with relevant people, groups, departments and companies
  • Experience of assisting other staff for improved and sustained delivery
  • Experience of engineering in a highways, traffic and parking service

Qualifications:

  • To have a recognised professional qualification in engineering or acceptable proven technical ability
  • To have experience in the public or private sector to successfully operate at engineering level
