The role:
Due to ongoing growth we are currently looking for a Engineering Manager to oversee all maintenance activities across the sites. Manage sub-contractor activity. Working as part of the team to allocate work appropriately ensuring all works are carried out in a timely, safe and legal manner.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
- Engineering experience essential, ideally within food/FMCG environment.
Ensuring that standards and procedures are in place and regularly updated to govern all engineering activities on site including aspects of maintenance, new asset realisation, safe working practices, management of contractors and assessment of competencies of engineering staff.
Managing all engineering and maintenance activities at all premises. - Working closely with operations and support functions (HR, Technical and Finance) to address issues and improve performance.
- Organising the required engineering resources to make interventions whilst maintaining and promoting a food safe working environment.
- Responsible for the engineering team and their effectiveness. Introduce KPIs and appraise team against these.
- Lead by example; demonstrating a “hands-on” approach to repair and problem solving.
- Excellent knowledge of electrical control systems, 3 phase AC motors and inverters. Good electrical and mechanical fault finding.
