Job Title: Estimator

Location: Portsmouth

Salary: £40k – £45k per annum, depending on experience.

Due to an influx of work, Pure are looking to expand their talented team. We are looking for a Estimator to join our team immediately.

The Role:

To prepare tenders for residential and commercial construction projects, from review of information, measure, procurement of quotes for sub-contract and material requirements, and collation for submission. Experience in PQQ / Quality bids preferred

About you:

  • Over 5 years’ experience working as an Estimator
  • Residential and commercial experience
  • Ability to work autonomously and to strict deadlines
  • Multi-tasker who remains calm and effective under pressure
  • Driving Licence

Responsibilities of the Estimator

  • Finding out what the client wants.
  • Researching materials, equipment and labour costs.
  • Gathering quotes from sub-contractors and suppliers.
  • Assessing the levels of risk on a project.
  • Analysing company data, exchange rates and prices using software packages.
  • Preparing and submitting quotations for work.
  • Helping with bids for new contracts and supporting buying activities.
  • Monitoring the stages of a project to make sure that costs are kept in line with forecasts

Candidates with experience or relevant job titles of; Quantity surveyor, Manufacturing Estimator, Manufacturing Costs Estimator, Technical Estimator, Engineering Project Estimator, Technical Project Estimator, Production Manager, Project Manager, Junior Project Coordinator, Project Coordinator, Project Management, Project Administrator, Project Estimator, Project Planning, Operations Coordinator, Project Controller, Project Supervisor, Junior Project Leader and Project Administrator may also be considered for this role.
