Job Title: Electrical Vehicle Charge Point Engineer / Qualified Electrician

Location: Northwest

Salary: £35,000- £43,000 Dependant on Experience (£45k OTE due to hourly rate)

Package: Paid Door to Door, Company Van, Phone, Specialist tools provided, Overtime available, 28 Days Holiday inc. Bank Holidays, Monday – Friday 7:45am – 4:30pm

About the role:

Our vacancies include Installation and Maintenance, Testing & Compliance of Electrical Vehicle Charging Points across the UK. You will work across a variety of Blue Chip companies on behalf of McLennans ltd.

The Ideal Candidate is an inventive problem solver that is capable of working through technical challenges and employing pragmatic solutions.

The role will involve the installation of the Electrical and Data Infrastructure and EVCP hardware and also programming of the software, this will include dealing with ‘In House’ Technical teams for commissioning and the APP based software on site. A full training package will be given to cover the technical aspects of the role to the successful applicant.

Key duties:

  • Diagnose and repair electrical problems on commercial and Industrial electrical systems, including fault-finding, rewiring, and installation
  • Assess the parts needed for service jobs and place orders for those parts
  • Installation of various types of containment systems to include tray, conduits etc
  • Conduct routine maintenance and testing on commercial and industrial electrical systems, and ensure installations are to current BS Standards
  • Ensure good quality workmanship which upholds company standards, complies with building codes, and follows safety requirements
  • Provide exceptional face to face customer service and answer any customer questions
  • Provide professional assessments and advice for customers
  • Possess working knowledge of IEE regulations, City & Guilds NVQ 3 qualifications
  • Demonstrate familiarity with NICEIC requirements

About you:

  • We are prioritising candidates with 4+ Years of experience, to get the best start on the role
  • Must be an Approved Electrician and hold all of the necessary qualifications.
  • Possess ECS/CSCS Health & Safety Qualification
  • Full UK Driving License
  • PASMA/IPAF an advantage
  • City & Guilds
  • Level 3 NVQ Qualified
  • Test & Inspection 2391 an advantage but not essential
  • Testing Experience is also desirable.
  • Comfortable working alone or as part of a team
  • Good communication skills
