Job Title: Audio Visual Production Manager

Location: Winchester

Salary: 40 – 50K + bonus + pension

Job Type: Permanent, Full time

About the role:

We are looking for an experienced event production manager and team leader with excellent client management skills. You will be managing a team that creates an annual turnover of approx. £1M from the delivery of live and virtual event production.

Working almost entirely in the corporate sector we deliver AV and Production Support from small meetings to globally relevant summits and events. We use a mix of our own stock and carefully selected sub hired equipment, arrange transport, crew and delivery into venues from local offices to stadiums and conference centres across the UK and Europe.

Our clients trust us to deliver and not let them down. The ethos of the team is to deliver the best we can for the agreed budget, making sure our expertise is shared, we are approachable, and that the client gets added value from our approach. Every event, of all scales is delivered with enthusiasm. We have a great history of winning new clients and working with them for years having built up trust and this is the way we want to proceed.

About you:

To lead the Events team, develop and control the Events Department and to provide production services to the company’s clients, whilst looking to develop the service following the agreed business plan and objectives.

The successful candidate must have experience, ideas, and energy in:

Team management, delegation, communication, documentation, and safe working Client account management. This role acts as the bridge that spans and links the ideas and needs of the client and the technical AV crew and logistics. It is a fine art that interprets the clients brief to create a well order quote, event design and technical solution that the “crew” can buy in on.

Ambition. This sector of the company has a very solid client bases and reputation. It has stock, budget, resources, and a team in place. What we need now is a leader who can harness what is in place and with the support and guidance of the Managing Director steer a course to continued profitable growth.

Whilst no one person needs to be the technical expert in all things, understanding the use, design and costs of the following will be required:

  • Audio systems
  • Lighting systems
  • Projection systems
  • Digital Screens and Videowall systems
  • Video and Digital Media content management and display
  • Live video streaming and virtual event production
  • IT and network infrastructure
  • Set and stage designed and build
  • Crew management
  • Sub-contracting of services
  • Health and Safety and Insurance limitations
  • Quoting, pitching and “selling” our concepts and solution.

Practical requirements and considerations.

  • Excellence communication skills
  • IT and computer literacy
  • Health and Safety awareness
  • Production related qualifications or certificates
  • Team leadership experience
  • A driving licence, with some van driving ability (training can be provided)
