Job Title: Event Sales Executive

Salary: Dependent on experience

Location: Harrogate

Job Type: Permanent, Full Time

Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday although some weekends and additional hours may be required on occasions

Between ourselves and Yorkshire Event Centre, we welcome over 600 events a year which can be anything from small meetings to large conferences, trade and public exhibitions or weddings and gala dinners plus everything in between which means that no two days are ever the same. About the role:

We are looking for the right person to join our passionate, creative, and hard-working team. You’ll need to be personable, confident, creative and have a desire to surprise and delight. Flexibility is important too, as the events we host can be anything from an exhibition to a conference or a wedding to a gala dinner, with everything in between.

This role would suit a sales/events coordinator with a hotel/venue background, however we are also open to considering individuals from another sector, if you have experience in sales and customer service skills. We will give the right person the skills and tools they need to thrive within our fun but dedicated team.

A Day in the Life:

  • Build a rapport with potential clients to convert enquires into confirmed bookings.
  • Dealing with clients from enquiry, contract, and finalising all details up to the day of the event
  • Effectively upsell to increase the average sale value of each event.
  • Build relationships with clients to encourage repeat business.
  • Maintain all aspects of client files effectively and efficiently.
  • Acting upon enquiries promptly
  • Arranging & attending wow site inspections
  • Pro-actively sourcing new business
  • Maintaining the event diary & CRM system
  • Attending team/promotional events across the UK

Pavilions of Harrogate and Yorkshire Event Centre are two award winning event venues located on the Great Yorkshire Showground in Harrogate. We proudly help fund the charitable activities of the Yorkshire Agricultural Society.
