Job Title: Examinations Officer

Location: Sixth form campus, Portsmouth

Salary: £22,750 – £24,023 (Full-Time Equivalent)

Job Type: Part-Time, Permanent – 18.5 Hours per week, 52 Weeks per year

About the role:

Provide a seamless, effective, efficient, accurate and timely examinations service. To provide a committed customer focus environment and provider services to the highest performance standards.

To ensure all processes meet internal and external requirements, including a thorough understanding of external and internal methodologies, specifications, guidance, rules and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To input, amend and maintain records within the relevant MIS systems
  • To be responsible for data production, validation and control
  • To adhere to and understand principles of funding methodologies, using this knowledge to interrogate data
  • To ensure all examination related activity is conducted in line with JCQ, Awarding Body and EPA requirements
  • To be responsible for administering and processing paperwork and complete appropriate documentation as required
  • To provide excellence in Customer Service and communication, this involves customer contact via the telephone, in person and in writing
  • Work in an organised manner ensuring information is complete, timely and accurate
  • To comply with departmental and external rules, regulations and funding guidance

To be successful in this role, below is what we would need from you:

  • Experience of working with a complex database and systems, providing accurate data entry and providing complex data solutions
  • Can demonstrate the ability to research and examine complex policies, rules and regulations, including modelling statistical information and producing graphical representation
  • Can demonstrate the ability to audit and review complex documentation
  • Experience in providing excellence in customer service and communication
  • Experience in providing and managing excellence in customer service and communication
  • Experience of meeting deadlines
