Based in London, our client is seeking a Coffee Machines Servicing, Maintenance and Repair Technician. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established company.

The Role:

The servicing, repair and maintenance Technician will be active in the servicing and repair of barista type coffee machines. The technician will disassemble, service and re-assemble and test the coffee machines using basic mechanical and electrical skills ensuring the work is carried out to the highest standard.

In this family run business, the technician will participate to all aspect of coffee machine maintenance and repairs across a multitude of coffee machine makes and types developing the ability to diagnose defects on pneumatic and electrical systems.

The job holder will use hand and power tools and testing equipment such as pressure or temperature gauges to test the effectiveness of his/her intervention and machine functionality.

This is a great opportunity for handy people with a love for coffee and wish to learn a new trade or refine their skills in this business.

Principal Responsibilities:

  • Repair, recondition and service all types of barista Coffee Machines
  • Diagnose Coffee Machines electrical or mechanical faults following test or customer reports
  • Read, understand and comply with safety and technical working instructions
  • Use various measuring equipment, including portable appliance test equipment and tools
  • Record work completed in business database
  • Undertake production and workshop housekeeping duties when required.
  • Use portable plant and power tools
  • Work safely in confined spaces
  • Follow Health and Safety rules

Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required:

  • The ability to use hand tools safely (Essential)
  • The ability to follow isolation instructions (Essential)
  • The ability to communicate effectively in English (Essential)
  • Ability to use correct PPE for range of activities (Essential)
  • Ability to carry out general housekeeping without direction (Essential)
  • Ability to lift heavy objects using correct manual handling guidelines (Essential)
  • Experience in operation or maintenance of technical equipment (Desirable)
  • Electrical or Pneumatic or Mechanical service and repairs experience (Desirable)
  • Have a clean Driving Licence (Desirable)
  • Live within a commutable distance
