Job Title: Finance Manager

Location: London, Hybrid

Salary: £60,000 – £70,000 per annum plus bonus

Job Type: Fixed-term, 12-month contract

The Role:

We are currently seeking a Finance Manager to join our team on a 12 month fixed-term basis. As a core member of our Finance Team, you will play a vital role in managing the financial operations of our four Corporate Holdings Entities. Reporting to the UK Finance Director, you will be responsible for various financial tasks and ensuring compliance with strong appetite for internal controls framework and reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the books and records and prepare the management accounts of a group of four Corporate Holdings Entities.
  • Manage the reporting and testing of internal controls, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • The main point of contact for the statutory audit, coordinating with auditors during the half-year and full-year audit process.
  • Prepare UK statutory financial statements in accordance with FRS101 and FRS102
  • Collaborate with tax advisors on tax-related matters.
  • Provide cash flow and CAPEX reporting to support financial decision-making.
  • Assist FP&A with budgeting and forecasting
  • Undertake other financial tasks and ad-hoc reporting as required.

Essential Skills and Requirements:

  • Qualified ACCA/CIMA/ACA with a minimum of 4 years of experience in finance.
  • Demonstrated appetite and commitment to following and improving processes and controls.
  • Confident, personable, and approachable, with excellent communication and IT skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong ability to work under pressure and meet challenging deadlines.
  • Highly numerate with excellent English language skills.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and ability to work independently.
  • Team player with excellent Microsoft Excel and Word skills.
  • Desire to continue learning and develop within the role and SYNLAB.

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience in a Corporate environment with exposure to Group reporting and communication.
  • Background in the pharmaceutical or diagnostic sector.
  • Familiarity with financial reporting within the IFRS framework.
  • Experience in key projects, including systems transitions.
