Job Title: Financial Planning and Analysis Manager

Location: Hybrid

Salary: £42,037 per annum

Job type: Full time, Fixed Term until 30 September 2024

We are currently looking for a Financial Planning and Analysis Manager to join our Finance Team, on a Fixed Term Contract. There is potential for this to be extended or made permanent.

The successful candidate will have strong leadership skills, a keen eye for detail with proven experience of delivering good quality finance outputs.

You will maintain accurate and appropriate finance records which are required for the contracts or grants through which work is funded. There is also additional requirements to meet the strategic and charitable objectives of the organisation. You will prepare periodic financial reports, such as costing models for bids/grants, cash flows, data analysis, and commentaries.

As the Financial Planning and Analysis Manager your duties would include:

  • Support key financial processes including monthly segment performance reporting and bottom-up forecasting
  • Ownership of month end processes for central overhead cost centres
  • Assist with the review and feedback of overhead reporting to help with the continuous improvement of the quality of reporting, variance and trend analysis
  • Assist with the preparation of the monthly and quarterly reports, analysis and commentary on changes in volumes, trends and contracts
  • Responsible for the construction and implementation of financial costing models, such as grants, bids and contract tenders
  • Support identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of financial systems and processes and support the drive for efficiency and standardisation within the FP&A function
  • Provide insights to management around financial modelling, scenario planning and forecasts, ensuring effective communication to all parties

The experience and skills you need:

  • Experience working to tight timescales and consistently meet deadlines
  • Experience working effectively with non-finance stakeholders and constructively challenge and influence performance
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously whilst driving strategic initiatives
