They have an extremely exciting and rare opportunity for a passionate and highly motivated Head of Marketing to join their rapidly growing team to help take their fast growing portfolio of events and digital platforms to the next level.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Strategy: strategic planning and implementation of all marketing strategies and campaigns across the Company brand (online community, webinars and events)
  • Process: manage, implement and fine tune our structured marketing planning and processes to optimise marketing activities and channel distribution, timely and efficiently
  • Audience Delivery: meet required delegate audience numbers for each portfolio creatively, within budget and meeting ROI KPI’s
  • Marketing & Sales Alignment: manage and optimise event marketing and sales pipelines, from suspect to prospect, to sales ready and conversion, plus year-round re-engagement
  • Digital Marketing: Focus on prioritising performance and productivity-driven marketing activities to drive ROI and results
  • Content Marketing/Lead Generation: strengthen and grow content strategy and narratives to engage, inspire and increase enquiries and bookings
  • Social Media: create and implement a strategy for social channels to drive new leads and engagement
  • Data Management: proven ability to select and segment data, and audit and analyse data to identify gaps, to build new, strategic data and meet ROI KPI’s
  • Partnerships: managing and enhancing commercial and value-add institutional and media partner agreements
  • Brand Communication: owning and managing all brand and communication touch points, and building and engaging key audiences with timely, relevant messaging

The Candidate

You will need a minimum of 6 years’ experience in marketing B2B conferences and digital platforms, including a minimum of 3 years management experience, with the proven ability to build and lead high performance marketing teams ground up. You will have the skills and leadership qualities to recruit, nurture and mentor junior marketers into agile, creative, data driven marketeers with a passion for creating a positive impact.

A personal interest in, and passion for sustainability and climate change would be a significant advantage. This role presents a superb opportunity to utilise your extensive marketing skills to create a positive environmental and social impact, by addressing the defining issue of our time: Climate Change.

The candidate should be able to highlight the following skills, interests and experience:

  • Experience of strategic events marketing planning and implementation
  • Minimum 6 years B2B marketing experience in conferences, events and online platforms.
  • Minimum of 3 years management experience in conferences and events
  • An understanding of or interest in climate change or sustainability
  • Email expertise, including design, style/tone, subject lines, A/B testing, analysis
  • An agile approach to working where you are able to review results and adjust and update plans reactive to circumstances, to optimise and achieve results
  • Excellent project and time management, organisation and stakeholder management skills with the ability to work on your own initiative
  • Analytical with a strong attention to detail
  • Strong digital and content marketing skills, including knowledge to demonstrate commercial results from marketing automation and CRM
  • A strong understanding of social media channels (particularly Twitter and LinkedIn) and strategies to leverage them commercially
  • Knowledge, experience and practical application of various marketing technology platforms, eg. Buffer app, Google Analytics, Google Adwords, Linkedin Ads, Video/GIF content curation, Email/Marketing Automation and CRM systems
  • Highly creative and smart approach to maximise small marketing budgets for maximum results
  • Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure to meet deadlines
  • Confident communication skills, through email and on the telephone
  • A positive, solution-driven, proactive, can-do attitude.
